About us
SouthEast UDA Bhakt Samaj (SEUBS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by a group of Uda Bhagats in the southeastern United States. SEUBS’ mission is to unite, inform, and preserve the religious and cultural heritage of Uda Bhagats in the region.
The organization was originally formed to provide a forum for Uda Bhagats in Alabama to come together and celebrate their shared culture. The first event was an aachuv, a traditional gathering. The aachuv was a success, and it led to the formation of regular monthly meetings.
As SEUBS grew, it expanded its reach to other states in the southeastern United States, including Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. In 2012, the organization held its first picnic, which was attended by over 100 people. The picnic was a great success, and it led to the organization holding more events, such as Ramnavmi, Janmashtami, and Diwali.
Today, SEUBS is a thriving organization with over 500 members. The organization’s events are a great way for Uda Bhagats in the southeastern United States to come together and celebrate their shared culture. SEUBS also works to promote religious and cultural education.

What Our Sankar Tell Us
All the religions in the world have their own and unique rules and regulations. In this way we also have our own rules and regulations. But if we search its part, we have forgotten many of its rules and regulations. Some sanskars got changed on its own, while some are still as it is. Truth is that we have not made the youths of today’s generation aware of these rules and sanskar and because of this next generation is totally unaware of our rules and regulations.
To regularly visit Our religious place which is known as “parthara of sakal naamdev kabir” and to take part in satsang is our religious duty. If we talk about our main principle than first of all Sadguru Jivanji Maharaj has given us a unique identity which we call as UDA.Uda is our caste. Leaving different religions aside, the people residing under the shadow of jivanji maharaj is known as UDA. Most important principle of UDA community is the purity of ethics and thoughts. First of all purity of speech.
For purity of speech Jivanji maharaj has given us some of words. For example jaal instead of water. Bhojan Prasad instead of food. He made whole samaj free of any addiction. Tobacco, liquor, meat, fish etc. is banned in our samaj. Jivanji maharaj has made tremendous changes in our social events. He fully banned karmakaand, bhramans- purohits and hom-havan. Instead of these he introduced only parayan and occhav.
He changed all the ceremonies of our marriage system in pure gujarati language and the palce of pandit-purohits were given to different uda bhagats. He gave very simple way to functions like baby shower.
He also removed grief, sorrow, crying in the events like death which is the main reason of crying and sorrow in other religions. He gave beautiful name to funeral ceremony i.e. “swadham gaman” in which there is no sorrow and crying. He also banned some useless after death ceremonies. He introduced new practice in which death body was taken on throne to funeral place(samsan) instead of tying it with death bed(thatdi). And the most beautiful thing is he gave equal rights to all. He removed gender difference and gave equal rights to all uda bhakt. Wether it is social, religious or family matter he removed the difference between male and female. He removed the practice of “rajasvala” which was like a black spot for women. Jivanji maharaj gave rights to women to worshipe god in any condition. He gave importance to them in all social and religious events.
The main reason behind all the principle which jivanji maharaj gave to samaj was his thoughts and understandability. With this he also ordered to remove many superstitions and fake worshipers from samaj.
1) No tap. 2) no tirth(pilgrimage) 3) no vrat 4) no jagran 5) no hom-havan. 6) no kriya-karmakand 7) no muharat 8) no ved.
These all are symbols of superstition and he odered to remove them completely from our samaj. At all jivanji maharaj told that don’t make a company of a person who is always involved in karmakand and superstition.
Basically We Have Seven Sanskar(Sacramants):
tilak
tulsi(basil)
Tilak of gopi chandan on forehead
ramnam( name of ram)
sant sangat(company of true saint)
Greet every person with Ramkabir
Mala(garland) of basil on neck

Sharad Utsav
This is the last festival of the year and it has been given much valuable place. Rain has almost taken farewell. Crops are getting almost ready in farms and it provides much happiness as grains for whole year are coming home. To express this happiness Shri Krishna had organized rashlila in Vrindavan. Many literature are written on this raslila and many more will be written in future also. Poets and devotees have keen interest in this season. Many big celebrations are organized in vrajbhumi during sharad utsav. During sharadutsav Sadguru shri Jivanji maharaj accepted Gopaldas as their guru and entered into Ramkabir tradition. And five years later established uda dharma ramkabir tradition in Shahpura.
